Tom / Tomas is all about future technology to drive transformation in GSC.
• Working side by side with Verizon’s sourcing, procurement and supply chain teams to provide competitive market intelligence regarding advanced technologies that will drive the company’s multi-year transformation roadmap.
• Conducting competitive capability benchmarking, identifying current transformation trend lines, and communicating this intelligence in analytical and executive formats to accelerate supply chain transformation.
• Identifying and prioritizing cross-industry supply chain trends, identifying the most important savings and strategy levers that Verizon’s supply chain should be prioritizing.
Previously, Tomas was Director of Corporate Development at Maximus, Inc., (NYSE: MMS) a mid-cap business process outsourcing company serving government with citizen services. Tom led the administration and corporate market research for global expansion; and the identification of advanced digital capabilities for the company’s operations. He also led the due diligence and integration for the companies Mergers and Acquisitions.
Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French, Tomas has delivered strategic global partnerships, expanded international markets and sold high value deals in marketing and business development positions at: Ligado Networks, Philips Electronics, Loral, and CISCO.
Tomas also had a broad and successful career in the U.S. Air Force, as a systems acquisition officer and in intelligence. He served as a military attaché in Brazil and on the Air Staff at the Pentagon.
Tomas earned his undergraduate degree in Physics from The College of the Holy Cross with a minor in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has an MA in Strategic Studies from Georgetown University and is a graduate of the Defense Systems Management College.
He and his family reside in Northern Virginia.
